Frostbitten worlds, honest words.
We tear into RPGs, roguelikes and every patch note in between — no hype, no sponsor spin. Just long-form reviews and guides written by players who finish the games first.
How a review is made
Our review process
Full playthrough
Every game gets 20+ hours minimum before a word is written. No launch-day snap judgements.
Notes & captures
We log bugs, balance shifts and standout moments with timestamped clips as we play.
Draft & fact-check
A second editor verifies claims against patch notes and dev interviews before publishing.
Publish & revisit
Reviews are updated when major patches land, so scores never go stale months later.

Frequently asked
Are your reviews sponsored?+
Never. We buy most games ourselves and label any review copy clearly. No publisher sees a score before it goes live, and we don't run affiliate scoring. If a piece is paid promotion, it's marked as such at the top.
How often do you publish?+
A full review lands every second Thursday, patch breakdowns go up weekly, and indie spotlights are monthly. Subscribers get an email the moment each post is live. Guides appear as needed when a tough new boss or meta shift drops.
Can I pitch a game for review?+
Yes — developers and readers can both suggest titles through the contact form below. We prioritise RPGs, roguelikes and story-driven indies, and we read every pitch even if we can't cover them all. Include a store link and a short note on why it stands out.
What platforms do you play on?+
PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Switch — plus a shelf of retro hardware for the reappraisal column. When a game runs on several platforms we note performance differences so you know which version to grab.
